Já tenho partilhado livros e DVD's que tenho.
Só me faltava uma coisa - os livros em inglês.

You all know that I'm quit obsessed with Lord of the Rings and most of J. R. R. Tolkien work.
You have seen the books I owned and DVD's with the extended versions.
But something that lacked in my collection was the actual books in English.




Também já sabem da minha recente paixão por livros em segunda mão. Às vezes é interessante ter um livro com história nele mesmo.

Estes foram os livros que encontrei, com capas ilustradas. ❤
São uma edição americana de 1969! As capas? São infames, o editor não deu tempo suficiente à ilustradora Barbara Remington para ler os livros e perceber sobre o que eles eram. O resultado? Umas capas estranhas e peculiares que pouco têm a ver com o que conhecemos do livro. Eu adorei-as, ainda antes de descobrir esta história. Além disso nunca me passaria pela cabeça que estes livros tivessem 50 anos!! Para além de umas páginas amarelo/alaranjadas estão em óptimo estado.

These were the books that I found and with illustrated covers. ❤
The books are the american edition from 1969. The covers? Where infamous because the editor didn't gave enough time to the illustrator - Barbara Remington - to actually read the books before illustrating them. It resulted in a quirky and weird cover that little has to do with the books. But I loved them, even before knowing all of this story. It would never cross my mind that these books have almost 50 years!! Apart from really yellow/orange pages they are in great state.
